Since it’s very beginning, Rock’n’Roll has been the most popular and the most recognized music genre. In the 50s, when it started to form in the U.S., Rock’n’Roll was more of a combination of black blues with a traditional white country, with elements of boogie-woogie, rhythm-and-blues or gospel music. In addition to the artistic value, it also had a huge cultural impact and became the basis for the further development of the world’s popular music.
The Cellmates won price at Rockabilly awards
First year of international band competition Rockabilly Rumble in Germany- Eging am See had Slovak participation as well. Bands from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Slovakia met on one stage and competed for the prestigious Rockabilly Awards. The Cellmates gained unprecedented success and got one of the prizes. The highlight of the evening was the award ceremony, where The Cellmates received the prize directly from the hands of Graham Fenton, legendary frontman of the English band Matchbox, performing with names like Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis or Carl Perkins.
New single "Roll Down The Road"
Introducing our first video for the song "Roll Down The Road". It is the third singel from the forthcoming album Rockabilly Feeling. The video was co-produced by Jakub Murko and with help of professional dancers from the Citadel Mephisto dance studio. Thank you all.
